Wild-crafted comfrey (symphytum spp.) macerated in organic sunflower oil (helianthus annus).  Freshly made from the May/June 2010 harvest. The comfrey is gathered in a rural setting in Aberdeenshire and harvested to give optimum potency.  The flowers, leaves and root of the herb are used in the maceration.

Comfrey is anti-inflammatory and so can be helpful for arthritic and rheumatism conditions. It is renowned in wound healing and for bruises, sprains and strains.  The old name for comfrey is 'knitbone'
