This essential oil is obtained from the wood of this tree, which needs other trees and plants to grow (parasitic). We only use Australian sandalwood due to sustainability issues with Indian Sandalwood. It has been used for centuries. It can have a soothing effect on the emotions, and be helpful for insomnia and stress. Can be used for respiratory conditions, coughs and sore throats. Also genitourinary tract infections such as cystitis. could also be helpful for lymphatic decongestion. Excellent for dry skin, eczema and psoriasis, oily skin and acne. On a subtle level sandalwood is good for meditation and quieting an overactive mind. Country of origin - Australia
