This oil is made from the leaves and flowering tops and orignates from the Mediterranean. There are six chemotypes of thymus vulgaris and this oil is the chemotype linalool (the gentlest on skin and can be suitable for children). Thyme has been used for centuries for its health giving properties.

Thyme is a great tonic to the body, can be extremely helpful against infection and for strengthening the immune system. Also to combat stress, fatigue and depression.

It can be powerful when used for respiratory complaints such as coughs, bronchitis and catarrh. Also helpful for muscular, rheumatic issues and gout.

It can help with trapped wind, and stimulates the digestive system.
